After our family Christmas, we headed to MO once more. Paul's family was waiting on us to eat, so once that was done we opened presents.  What a whirlwind!  Everyone opened presents as fast as they got them.  Adam got his own scooter from g'ma and g'ma, Paul and I got pizza pro gift cards, wine, whiskey, and the kids got another 3-4 games for the Wii.  One of the kids' favorites were whoopie cushions from their cousin Jacob.  Everyone soon left for other Christmas commitments, so Paul and I took the kids to the park to try out their scooters.  How fun! Later that night we napped and watched TV on Jerry's new flatscreen.  A special thanks to Jerry and Shirley for the giftcard to help us buy our new TV for the living room.  Merry Christmas everyone and thanks for everything.

Merry Christmas!!  Adam woke us up quite excited yelling--"it's christmas!  It's Christmas!" over and over and over.  The boys got quite a few things from their lists including Skylanders Wii video game, a scooter, some games, even a fantastic ping pong table.  For some reason the clothes mom and dad got them wasn't such a big hit!  :)  We got to play for a while but changed clothes and headed back to MO once again for the Petitt Christmas.  Andrew loves to play games now so all the games we got are going to be soooo fun. On Paul and my lists, we included socks and underwear--you came through Santa!   Thanks Santa for everything!

Christmas eve found us back in Missouri to visit with the family.  The boys got to visit with their cousins Taylor, Allie, Andie and Ryan on Christmas eve.  We always have a big meal for lunch, then we open presents in the afternoon---which usually takes about 2 hours b/c we go real slow and enjoy everyone's gifts.  My mom absolutely outdid herself this year with Andrew's gift.  She hand quilted a Cardinal baseball quilt that has Andrew's number and name on back of a jersey, the cardinal logo, bats and mitts, baseball trim all around!!  That did happen to be the theme this year--Cardinal baseball gifts.  Thank goodness they won the World Series or we wouldn't have had any presents to give.  Dad got a Cardinal magazine, coozie, beer, etc.  Andrew got quilt, body wash, World Series baseball, and hoodie.  We had a fabulous time and drove back late that night and attended our church at 11pm for candlelight service.  We wanted to be home for Christmas morning and enjoy that with our boys.  Thanks for all the gifts and fun times.

Happy 10th Adam!!

Adam's chocolate cake--yum

Cars 2--oh yeah!!!
Adam turned 10 this year--can you believe it?  We were in MIssouri visiting grandparents so they were able to give Adam his gifts.  We drove home in the afternoon so we could be home with Dad.  Adam's idea was to go see the Chipmunk movie and go out to eat at KFC where our friend Tracie works.  She was super glad that we came by especially for Adam's birthday.  He was all smiles all day long b/c he knew this was HIS day!!  Happy birthday my big boy---we love you bunches.

Cymetech had their annual Christmas party this year with one catch--it was at our house!!  Paul and I worked pretty hard to get things painted, cleaned, and decorated and wallah!--it was a success.  Everyone had a great time and they are already talking about NEXT year!  What????   All the kids get gifts from "santa" and the wives get some sort of gift card to the store of their choice---yippee!!  We really had a great time.  We had all kinds of food and everyone had a chance to relax without having to be so formal.  OK---see you next year!!

School play

Here are the boys with their teachers.  For school this year, their music teacher had the 3,4, and 5th grades play music.  The K,1, and 2 sang songs and the second graders dressed as reindeer. Andrew had a speaking part too.

New room and addition

The progress on the outside new garage has been a very slow process but what do you expect with it raining just about every day? They have been able to pour the concrete base and have added most of our new "safe room" for bad weather. The builders just have to pour the concrete top. The inside of the "old" garage has been painted a very light tan and Cassidy put in tile and brown carpet. We had to work very hard and long hours into the night to get this done before Paul's company Christmas party. We love it so far-gives extra room for the kids to play in!! Will keep you posted as the outside garage starts to go up!

Church play and homemade crafts

A week before Christmas, the boys had their church Christmas play. This year they had to memorize their lines. Adam was Balthazar and Andrew was Melchior (2 of the three kings). Also here are the purple tutu and baby doll diapers that I made for my niece Andie.
