Moved  up to orange belt!!
What a wonderful weekend!  Friday evening, Adam had a buddy from school spend the night, so since it rained and the burn ban has been lifted, we had our first bonfire since probably April or May! Then Saturday morning, Adam had another belt test.  He advanced from a yellow belt to an orange belt, so this is his third level.  It is good to see his confidence grow and watch him do his kicking and hand combinations.  Good job Adam!!

16 years of wedded bliss

Today marks our 16th wedding anniversary.  Here are the beautiful flowers Paul sent to me at my work!  Everyone was jealous......

My little boy is 9!!!!  We went back to Missouri this past weekend and were able to see grandmas and grandpas.  Saturday night we went out to eat with all the Petitt family and then Sunday we went to Mom's Restaurant!  Andrew was given an ipad from Grandma and Grandpa Petitt after much batting of the eyelashes and sweet smiles, and he got money and a baseball pillowcase to go with his Cardinal bedspread.  For his birthday this week, we asked him what he wanted for his birthday, and he said he wanted Caleb and Cody to come over and play video games on a school night!  I thought--how easy is that?--absolutely.  So the Petersons came over (yes, Ben and Miranda had to drive the kids over, so they stayed) and we ate shrimp, made brownies and the kids decorated them how they wanted, and video games were played by all.  We love you Andrew--happy birthday!

first day of school

Oh yes, it's that time of year again!  The boys had their first day of school yesterday.  Adam is now in 5th grade and Andrew in 3rd.  Both say they like their teachers and they are both ready to see their friends again.  Today (Tuesday) when I picked up the boys, Adam said "I can't believe it, we already had work to do!"  Can't be all fun and games all the time.  Wish them luck......or maybe wish us luck !
