This past Saturday, Adam had his first ever belt testing for Tae Kwon Do.   This is kind of like "the big game" for all you sports fans.  He is a white belt, which is the first level where you start.  He was quite nervous, in fact he told me he wanted to go home and do it some other day.  But he was quite courageous and did well.  He had a little trouble breaking the boards but Master Jason gave him several thin boards to break.  Of course when he got home he thought he was "all that" and more!  We're so proud of him b/c this is something HE wants to do and he loves it!

Last weekend Grandma Shirley and Papa Jerry came to visit.  They also brought along the newest member of their family, Tipper.  About a month ago their dog Duchess died which they had for many years.  Tipper looks like a stuffed toy dog.  She is way cute.  Of course the boys just loved on her to death.  She was probably never so glad to get into her kennel and go home!  It was Grandma's birthday so we made strawberry shortcake for her.  I took her to Bed Bath & Beyond to get some new stuff for the bathroom for her birthday and Mother's day.  The bathroom is already painted so now it just needs updating with fixtures, etc.  Can't wait to see the new bathroom!
