What a beautiful weekend! Saturday Paul took the boys to baseball practice then decided to go fishing in the afternoon. He took Adam with him and had a great time. They caught a couple huge black crappie and ended up with about 14 fish (see Paul's "big" fish). I took Andrew to the movies and we saw "How to Train Your Dragon"--great movie!! Well, Sunday, we told the Peterson's to stop by our house for lunch 'cause we were frying up fish. It's been a while since we've seen the Peterson's, so Paul and Ben went fishing and Miranda and I stayed here. We started the afternoon off with all the boys getting haircuts. Then what started out as a "water experiment" by Cody and Adam (right then we should have known how it would end!), ended up as probably one of the best afternoons these boys have had in a long time! They started digging in the dirt then adding water, making mud pies and stepping in the mud with their feet. Within about 10 minutes, they ended up COVERED with mud, as in the middle picture above. Miranda hosed them down from the waist down, since the water was so cold, so I went in the house and filled buckets of warm water to pour on them to rinse them off. They all took showers and put on clean clothes and smelled like such sweet nice boys.....until they went outside again! This time, they only ended up with just a little bit of mud and dirt, but all in all , they had a good time!
