Our boys and the Peterson boys attended our church's VBS 2 weeks ago.  The theme was "Hometown Nazareth".  They were in groups with their tribe leader and they went to 3 stations.  One was to go to Mary's house and listen to a story; the second station they played games; and the third was the market place.  They were given 3 sheckles each day and they were to choose what they wanted to do:  the food stand, make something out of wool, plant something, make something out of wood, dye some clothes, make a hand scrub, make jewelry or something with beads, or paint a box which was to collect money for the poor.  I think they really had a good time.  Here are a few pics of them at some of the stations.  Each tribe had a name and had a special bandana so they knew what tribe they belonged to.
I also added two pictures that  I had on my phone from the cub scout recognition ceremony back in May.  Both boys got patches and pins for the various activities they did throughout the year.  Unfortunately, they won't be in cub scouts next year.  They both have had a lot of fun and learned a lot.
