Garden of the Gods
Last Sunday was absolutely beautiful and temps were perfect for an outdoor excursion. Paul and Andrew were out of town at a football game , which meant I was not staying home. Since we were at church, we asked one of the boys' friends who goes to church with us to go with us hiking. Even though we got lost getting there, we eventually made it to Garden of the Gods up in Illinois. We walked on the 1/4 mile Overlook Trail which has massive boulders which overlooks a valley. Yes, if you go out too far and fall, you will probably die, and yes, there are several deaths there each year. Luckily, both boys were afraid of heights, so no daredeviling for them!!! We had so much fun climbing and posing for pictures. Can't wait to do it again sometime when Paul and Andrew can go with us.
