Halloween!!

Oh, we love Halloween! It is sooo fun. This year the boys were Dracula and a pirate. Adam goes all out with his face painted and whatever character he can be loud and yell! Andrew went as a pirate and does not want anything on his face, no necklace, no eyepatch, nothing! But he loved his "short" pants and long blue socks. Since Ben and Miranda moved out near us in God's country, we couldn't go down their street like we usually do. So, we went to Church of Christ's Trunk or Treat, since we have friends that go to that church, then we went to St. Paul Lutheran where we ate chili and hotdogs and the boys sat outside on haybales and watched Charlie Brown's great pumpkin movie. Then we headed back to Reidland and went to Reidland Baptist's carnival where the boys played all kind of games and got candy at every single game. It was a blast. I know the boys wanted to do "normal" trick or treating, but this was safe, fun, and no kids argued over who gets to ring the doorbell!!!! We also got to visit with people and look at all the other cool costumes because it's usually so dark we can't see anybody but our own kids. Then we came back to our house for some chicken noodle soup and the boys played and the adults played cards and got to hang out! I didn't go to the boys' Halloween party b/c I've been sick and coughing, so I didn't want to be around all those kids. What a good night!
