Louisville Visit

This past weekend we went up to Louisville to see our friends the Hodges'. Paul, Steve, and Sam went hunting of course on Saturday, so Tara and I took 5 kids to the zoo!! Brian is in 3rd grade, Adam in 2nd, Andrew in Kindergarten, then we had two 2-1/2 year olds. They were perfect all day! We had such a good time. The weather was beautiful, sunny and around 65 degrees. All the animals were out b/c usually in the summer it's so hot you never get to see all the animals. We stopped about half way through and had a picnic lunch. Tara packed lunchmeat, chips, juices, snacks. In the picture above, we were in the gorilla house, so Brian and Adam climbed on top of this crate to see the gorillas, and this one big guys comes swinging over, sits right next to the glass, and turned around as if he were posing! It almost looks as if there is no glass between the boys and the gorilla. Got back home and the boys played nonstop outside--on the trampoline, on scooters, playing golf, until it got dark and they wanted to go back outside afte supper but it was too cool. Talk about some tired boys that night!
