The big day has arrived! The deer stand has officially been! Jacob came down to hunt opening weekend like he has for the past several years. He and Paul spent the night out in the deer stand/clubhouse but didn't get a deer this morning. It was a misty, rainy day and they went back out around 1pm. Grandpa Jerry and his buddy Adam walked out about 3pm. Adam was so anxious to go, he kept asking "When are we gonna go Grandpa?" b/c grandpa Jerry was trying to take a nap! Jacob was the one who shot the deer which was a small buck. Perfect size really. Man am I glad Jerry and Jacob are here--now I don't have to help clean the deer!!
This one should be titled "Rednecks of Marshall County". Man that is one ugly deer!
