We made a family trip over to Wildcat Hollow, KY for Race to Scouting Family Weekend. Andrew has been wanting to do a "camping" weekend for a while now. We woke up real early and drove 2 hours. I think it could have been a great day, however, this weekend was rainy, cold around 40 degrees, and just ugly. The kids had a great time. We started the day with crafts where Andrew made a car and a scarf tie; then headed to a game called "popcorn" where they got to shoot a nerf gun and aimed at a target with these things that looked similar to a bow and arrow. Then Andrew and Daddy tried their hand at knot tying. Lunch was a sack lunch where we had to go and eat in the car b/c there was not enough room in the dining hall for everyone. We didn't mind though b/c we got to warm up, take a nap, and the kids played their video games. Inthe afternoon, it started to mist and rain, but the boys had their hearts set on BB gun shooting and bow and arrow shooting. We stood in line for 45 minutes just to shoot the BB guns, but it was worth it for the boys! Now the boys like to shoot at cans and Paul's bow and arrow target in the back yard.
