At the end of March we headed up to Louisville for Steve's surprise 40th birthday. On the way, it rained, then as soon as we hit L'ville, it sleeted and snowed. We got to stay in a hotel which the boys just love! Adam gave me a hug and said "this is the best day ever!"You would think we never went anywhere. What a trip--and by that we had a good time, but our car's transmission was on it's last leg. We barely made it out of the parking lot to go to the b'day party when it started bucking and barely moving. Paul turned it around and said that thing was going no where. Basically it needed a new radiator. Steve's dad had to pick us up and take us to the b'day party. So, the next morning, poor Paul woke up early, went and found a new radiator luckily (we borrowed Tara's Explorer), and worked for 4 hours putting a new radiator in the car out in the hotel parking lot! Oh yeah--it had snowed 2 inches the night before. Well, Steve arrived the next morning, just as he was finishing up, they took it for a spin and everything was great. We made it home and let's say that next week we desperately looked for a new(er) car, and had bought one by Friday!! We had a good time at Steve's party and everything worked out OK!
