This past weekend we took the kids to go see a Rams pre-season football game. We had ordered these tickets way back in April when Andrew was so into football and thought this would be a good birthday present. Since everything has worked out good with our schedules, we picked up the boys straight after school and headed to St. Louis for the weekend. The boys were excited about the game, but do you want to know what they were REALLY excited about? Staying in a hotel with a swimming pool and hottub--why even go to the game?? It was cool to see the inside of the dome b/c the field was bright green and very colorful, but I have to say, I'll just stay home and watch it on the TV from now on.
On Saturday, after swimming of course, we took the boys to the Arch. That was great! We only had to wait maybe 1/2 hour total before we went up to the top. Paul told the boys that 2 BIG strong men were pulling us up with ropes to the top. So on the way down, the boys said "I didn't see those big guys with ropes up there". Paul quickly assured them that the men were on the outside of the arch and no one can see them. So like good children , they believed him! The pictures are of us inside the tram car going up and Paul and the two boys looking out the window. Then we ate at the old spaghetti factory and came home. We had a great weekend getaway.
