What an emotional roller coaster this July has been. We are still awaiting all the pathology results to come in for Paul, and we have to admit, that this is very hard waiting. We would love to just get started on whatever will be the plan, but we just have to wait until we hear back. The pathologist at MD ANderson had been on vacation and nobody let our doc know about it, and also our surgeon that did the biopsy was out of town for 2 weeks, so we weren't getting information anyway! When the pathologist finally did look at the slides, he diagnosed the mass as lymphoma. We are getting a second opinion from a thymoma specialist in Indianapolis and possibly another opinion from Vanderbilt in Nashville. The treatment for lymphoma vs thymoma are extremely different, so they can't mess up on the diagnosis!
Meanwhile, last Sunday the Petersons came to visit. The boys finally got to swim in the pool and play together. Here are Paul, Miranda, and Ben sitting under the tree lounging while I did all the grilling! Must be nice.......
It's always nice to visit with our company, and here is a picture of what happens to Adam and Paul late at night---aren't they sweet?
We also had a surprise visit from my Aunt Bernice and uncle Jr about 2 weeks ago. They came down to Kevil to visit one of her friends and then came tovisit us. Luckily Jr came too and fixed our lawn mower belt---yeah!!!!! Lucky for us he does mechanic work! Adam gave Bernice, a.k.a.--the "bug juice lady" a ride on the go cart. Poor Bernice!!!
Oh yeah, and have you ever wondered how kids reach things when you put items "up and out of the way" so they can't reach them??? Well, now I know......
