St. Louis Cardinals Game

Oh what a night!! This past Saturday the 4 of us drove to St. Louis to watch a Cardinals baseball game. Both boys are soooooo into baseball right now so we thought we would surprise them. Paul was feeling good and we knew the kids would love it. It poured down rain on the way there so we were hoping it wouldn't be rained out, but it soon stopped and the skies cleared and it was a fantastic night. We got there really early and saw the Astros take batting practice, but not the Cards. Meanwhile, we saw a family from church there and their teenage kids put Adam and Andrew right next to the wall so they could watch batting practice. Our seats were 3 rows from the top!!! Andrew pointed out "look mom, there are birds down there"! So yes, even the birds were below us. But overall we could see everything and the kids had an absolutely fantastic time! They sat through 5 innings watching every pitch and cheering. Adam and I walked around for a few minutes, got an ice cream, and he wanted to go straight back in and finish the game. We saw 2 Cardinal home runs, and fireworks at the end. Andrew got to throw a few pitches in the kids area before the game started. We all had cheeseburgers, hotdogs, awesome nachos, and cotton candy. Thanks for the great idea Paul about going to the game---I think they loved it!!!
